General Starch Limited (GSL)
is one of Thailand’s leading modified tapioca starch manufacturers.
The company has been operating its business for over three decades. With state-of-the-art
production technologies and attentive care in every process, our products have achieved
a high trustworthy standard with our domestic and overseas customers.
Established
General Starch Limited was established with a registered capital of 10 million Baht and was increased to 300 million Baht in 2007.
BOI
The company’s investment capital was granted by the Board of Investment (BOI) with a total project value of 1,000 million Baht.
Began
Started production and distribution of native and modified tapioca starches for various industries based on customer requirements.
Separated Production Facilities
Implementation of separate production facilities to produce industrial grade and food grade tapioca starch products to ensure food safety.
Initiated Biogas
To address our surrounding environmental concerns, the Biogas Project was initiated to manage our waste water and develop an alternative energy source. Project investment capital was supported by the National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) in 2003 and the Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO) in 2012.
Opened China Office
A representative office in Shanghai, China was opened.
Technical Service Centre
Establish a Technical Service Centre in Singapore to provide solutions to our food industry customers in the Asia Pacific region and beyond.
